Our product range consists of almost all fish available worldwide. Our export however, is focused on fish from the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean. For example Turbot, Halibut, Dover Sole, line caught Sea bass, Mussels, Monkfish, Langoustines, Diver scallops, Oysters and European lobster.
Our people have established relationships with various fishermen in order to get their latest catch: the fish that is caught last before bringing the fish into the harbour. Best Fish buys the fish directly at the various auctions in the Netherlands. After which the fish is immediately transported to our centrally located plant.
Our quality control is very strict. All incoming fish is double checked. Moreover, the stock- and processing units are continually monitored by sophisticated temperature controlling systems. The quality is monitored during the entire process and is guaranteed by our ISO 9001 status. Before exporting outside Europe, all shipments are inspected by the Dutch Veterinary Authorities.
Although most chefs prefer to receive the entire fish, Best Fish has the facilities and a dedicated team of filleting professionals to make custom cut fillets or portions or other special requests from customers.
The fish is placed on ice and packed in polystyrene airfreight boxes. The slowly melting ice guarantees a constant temperature of 0° C (32° F.), which is the perfect temperature to keep the fish fresh. Furthermore, a special water absorbing device in the bottom of the boxes keeps the melting water away from the fish. So the fish is constantly surrounded by clean ice.
